Voor het eerste uitstapje dit jaar gingen we naar De Museumfabriek, het stedelijk museum van Enschede.
Omdat ik in het museum als docent werkte heb ik de rondleiding zelf verzorgd. De kinderen hebben in elke ruimte van het museum kort wat informatie gekregen over wat er te zien is en mochten daarna zelf dingen gaan ontdekken. Ze konden door een ‘vergrootglas’ kijken, op knopjes drukkken, lades opentrekken, opgezette dieren en skeletten bekijken, zien hoe mensen vroeger met hun dieren onder een dak leefden en ze leerden dat Enschede in de vorige eeuw dé textielstad van Nederland was.
In de Makerspace kregen de kinderen een eigen weefraam en konden de eeuwenoude techniek zelf leren. Helemaal niet zo makkelijk als het eruit ziet maar als je het een keer hebt gesnapt wil je niet meer stoppen…
